I’ve made it! 40 mutha lovin years on this Earth. Sometimes, I wonder how I made it this far. Between not being killed by my mother and somehow surviving doing the dumb stuff I did when I was a kid, I think I’ve done pretty well. But I have a long way to go and those childish ways are well behind me.

The end of my 30s was a test to my sanity though. I can’t eat gluten anymore so my diet has changed drastically. And then, like 2 weeks later, stankin a$$ ‘Rona tried to take me out. But I also got back on my Peleton (Username: TheBlasianDad for those that ride) and I’m trying to hit 200 rides before the end of the calendar year. I got about 185 more to do. I’m also taking up more hobbies, playing more golf and using my camera more. Also, I’m probably going to coach basketball more. We’re doing things that make us happy.
But over the last 40 years, I’ve learned a lot of lessons. Some knocked me back a good bit and some were a slap on the wrist, but I’ve always learned something from them. And no, I’m not going to share them with you, because everyone does not experience the same trial and tribulations. We all handle things differently. The best advice I can give is to do what makes you the happiest, but remember the consequences that come with every decision.
Thank you for all the birthday love and I plan to make my 40s some of the happiest times of my life!
Much love
